I mean in terms of experience of chairing meetings, dealing with high profile people who were speaking, you know sort of contacting people, in terms of being in a committee –  very useful skills. Taking minutes – I’m a very good minute taker, and I’m sure that was a skill that was developed through WiP. I worked on the final Bentinck Report, so experience of editing text.  So, yes, a lot of  practical skills but also that sort of confidence to present yourself  as somebody who was in charge.
