Jane Judd started in publishing in 1973 as an assistant with Trewin Copplestone, a book packager, moved on to Frederick Muller and Fodor before becoming an editorial assistant at Hutchinson in 1976. She worked with Harold Harris and Philippa Harrison before going over to the paperback publishing division, Arrow, with Terence Blacker, and became a commissioning editor shortly afterwards. She left the company in 1986 to become an independent literary agent. She has worked from home ever since, representing a wide range of non-fiction and fiction.
